BIKE RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Booking and eligibility

To rent a bike from MotoMiles India, the rider must provide valid identification and a valid driving licence before vehicle handover.

Indian riders must provide:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Valid Driving Licence

Non-Indian riders must provide:

  • Passport
  • Valid Driving Licence

MotoMiles may refuse or cancel a booking if required documents are not provided or booking conditions are not met.

2. Security deposit

A refundable security deposit is required for every rental. The deposit amount varies depending on the bike selected and is confirmed before booking.

MotoMiles may retain or deduct from the security deposit for unpaid rental charges, extra kilometre charges, traffic fines, damage, missing parts or accessories, cleaning, late return charges, or other applicable costs.

Subject to applicable deductions, the security deposit is refunded within 7 working days after the vehicle is returned and inspected.

3. Rental period, kilometre limit and fuel

The rental period begins and ends at the agreed pickup and return time.

Each rental includes a daily limit of 200 kilometres. Additional kilometres are charged at ₹10 per kilometre.

Fuel is not included in the rental price. The rider is responsible for filling fuel during the rental period.

4. Pickup, drop and outstation rides

Bike pickup is available from MotoMiles India in Vile Parle West, Mumbai.

Pickup and drop services may be available at additional charges, subject to location, availability, and prior confirmation.

Outstation rides are allowed only after confirmation from MotoMiles before booking. The rider must not take the vehicle to any restricted area or use it outside India.

5. Rider responsibilities

The rider must:

  • Ride safely and follow all applicable traffic laws
  • Wear and use the provided helmet responsibly
  • Return the bike at the agreed date and time
  • Keep the bike in the same condition as received, excluding normal wear and tear
  • Pay all traffic fines, penalties, tolls, parking charges, and legal consequences arising during the rental period
  • Inform MotoMiles immediately in case of an accident, damage, theft, or breakdown

The rider must not:

  • Ride under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating substances
  • Use the bike for racing, testing, competition, illegal activity, or unauthorised commercial use
  • Allow another person to ride the bike without prior written approval from MotoMiles
  • Make modifications, repairs, installations, or alterations without approval
  • Carry passengers beyond the legal seating capacity

6. Damage, accident and breakdown

The rider is responsible for damage to the vehicle, loss of parts, accessories, documents, or damage caused by improper use, negligence, accident, water submersion, or violation of these terms.

In case of an accident, the rider must immediately inform MotoMiles and the nearest police station. The rider must cooperate with all insurance and legal requirements and must not admit liability on behalf of MotoMiles without approval.

In case of breakdown, the rider must inform MotoMiles immediately and must not arrange repairs without prior approval. Roadside assistance, where available, is subject to availability and the cause of the breakdown.

7. Insurance

Standard vehicle insurance is provided as required by law. Insurance coverage is subject to the policy terms, deductibles, exclusions, and applicable laws.

Insurance may not cover damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, violation of rental terms, tyre, glass, or undercarriage damage unless part of a larger accident, personal belongings, or unauthorised use of the vehicle.

The rider remains responsible for charges not covered by insurance.

8. Extensions and late returns

Any request to extend the rental period must be made at least 6 hours before the scheduled return time. Extensions are subject to bike availability and approval by MotoMiles.

Late-return charges may apply for each hour or part of an hour beyond the agreed return time. If the delay exceeds 6 hours, a full-day rental charge may apply.

MotoMiles may repossess the vehicle in case of persistent delay, breach of terms, or unauthorised use.

9. Cancellations and refunds

For cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled pickup time, 20% of the rental amount will be charged.

For cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time, 100% of the rental amount will be charged.

Refunds, where applicable, are processed after deduction of cancellation charges and any other applicable amounts.

10. Termination

MotoMiles may terminate a rental and repossess the vehicle without prior notice if the rider breaches these terms, uses the bike illegally, provides false information, endangers the vehicle, or fails to return it as agreed.

The rider remains responsible for all charges, damages, fines, penalties, and losses incurred until the vehicle is returned.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Keep this placeholder until the owner confirms whether it should be Mumbai. Do not publish “Ghaziabad” just because it appeared in a borrowed document.

12. Acknowledgement

By booking or taking possession of a bike from MotoMiles India, the rider confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these rental terms and that all information provided is true and correct.
